About This Game In this magic battle action game, take part in 4-on-4 team battles and cast an array of magic spells to defeat the opposing team. And guess what: they were mostly justified.+ What i really liked, is the story. It has a mixture of actual anime-cutscenes, 3D-animated cutscenes and 2D-only text cut"scenes". The whole story is pretty much like an extra arc for the anime. o But the cutscenes sadly lack a tiny bit of detail, as if a few frames and text parts were missing, so some things weren't 100% clear for me in the Asta-part of the story.Now to the rest: - the playerbase is nonexistent, so the multiplayer doesn't make much sense. - For me, it wouldn't have been fun anyways, since the battles are just a massive crowd of epilepsy-inducing shiny colours, lines etc. You can't see what happens, if you want to do anything except standing far away from the battles. - there is no killcam, so you can't even see, what killed you. - Also there is no way to strategically play, since the outcome of the game is pretty much luck based. You can't change characters, but some chars are direct counters to others. So if you have an opponent with a team that counters yours, you WILL get slaughtered- the combat is a bit bland with only having one main attack and at least 2-3 non-damage skills (depending on class) and a weird aim system (i play with a controller), with which you often can't even place some skills properly.- with some "fighter"-class characters, you don't really have a chance to do anything, because there is no way to fly, dash or run into the area or an opponent. You can just hope for luck that you don't get massive knockdowns.But: i won't say that it's 100% a bad game, because it isn't. If you're a casual gamer that wants something with a theme you enjoy, when you have time, then it's nice. Just not something with frequent re-play-value. The original price is a joke and a disgrace, though.I've got the deluxe edition (incl. season pass) for 23€ and could've gotten the standard edition for 11€. In hindsight: i should've gotten the standard edition. For those prices, the game is fully ok, so i'll still recommend it for people that have a similar playstyle or attitude or expectation towards this game as me.. disappointment is immeasurable. you cant play online because no one bought this game and if you go online you play with bots all the time. you get disconnected constantly and game crashes sometimes.. nice game but need more chara alot more !!!. Honestly, it's dead. But if you can find a discord\/group for the game on here, you can definitely find some very nice people to play with. The story is pretty good, but only lasted me a night before I played it completely though.. Let me start with this,I dislike the black clover franchise in general.But this game is the one good tally for any of it in my book.4 v 4 objective-based throw downs where characters have a host of specific ways they fight or work together with their team in general, and you can further unlock diffrent "classes" that each character can sort of specialize in, and the unlock time for any given character's augments/decks is rather fast and effortless and gives you some rather simple but welcome customization. The single player offers up both a story mode to play through and optional objectives to replay missions for to unlock new flair and extra in-game money, along with a "challenge" mode that is just there to learn how each character works and rewarding you afterwards.While I have had some technical issues during multiplayer (anti-cheat not authorizing, networking errors) they've mainly only occured outside of matches, in-game I've had a very solid experience. Game also supports bots for online lobbies should they not fill up fast enough, and bots sometimes manage to pose more of a challenge than some human players.As cursed as the black clover franchise seems, it's a kick in the teeth that something legitimately good should come out of it only to get "released to die" by the publisher with minimum marketing and fanfare. They've made a fun game, albeit maybe not entirely unique but rather diffrent enough to be recognized as it's own style. It's not the most incredible game in the world - no, but it's very entertaining despite it's origin.P.S.
